The 2025 Husqvarna TC 125 at Lings Husqvarna receives multiple technical upgrades to maintain its position at the head of the highly competitive 125 cc class. This motocrosser is designed for maximum performance, agility, and rider control on any track.
At its core is a powerful 124.8 cc, 1-cylinder, 2-stroke engine, weighing just 17.9 kg. This lightweight engine sets the standard for performance in its class, delivering more torque while retaining its high-revving 2-stroke character. An innovative electronic exhaust control system, featuring an actuator, allows the lateral exhaust port and main exhaust port to open simultaneously for maximum power delivery. Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) via a 39 mm Keihin throttle body ensures optimal air/fuel ratio at all times, providing smooth, usable power across the entire rev range without the need for manual jetting. An electric starter ensures reliable ignition, while a 6-speed Pankl gearbox provides precise and durable shifts. A lightweight crankshaft improves throttle response and minimizes vibration, and its precise positioning ensures rotational mass has very little effect on the overall handling.
Updated bodywork and ergonomics offer riders improved ease of movement on the motorcycle for complete control, with a flat seat profile and recessed pockets for easy lifting. Its lighter chromium molybdenum steel frame, with reduced material around the shock mount and steering head, and revised wall thickness in higher stress areas, improves overall strength. These changes reduce frame weight by 300g, enhancing cornering, rider feedback, energy absorption, and exceptional straight-line stability. The two-piece composite subframe, made from 60% polyamide and 40% aluminium, provides exceptional strength at a low weight of just 1.8 kg.
Updated WP XACT suspension and a revised rear shock linkage ensure improved comfort and cornering. The 48 mm WP XACT AER forks are revised for 2025 to work with the new frame, reducing weight while providing more flex. They feature a capsulated, adjustable air spring and pressurized oil chamber for consistent damping, with tool-free adjustability. The WP XACT rear shock offers 293 mm of travel with a CFD-optimized main piston for improved initial comfort and strong hold-up. Lightweight and strong black anodized D.I.D rims are fitted with race-tested Dunlop MX34 tyres for stability and improved traction on all racing surfaces. Powerful Brembo disc brakes (260 mm front, 220 mm rear) ensure exceptional stopping power. Premium ProTaper handlebars offer a confidence-inspiring steering feel with ODI grips connecting riders to the machine. The new combined start and stop switch simplifies operation. The TC 125 is completed with stunning white and blue graphics that are applied using in-mold technology for a long-lasting finish, ensuring a stylish and unique presence on the track.
