The Husqvarna EE 2 at Lings Husqvarna introduces youngsters to the exciting world of motorcycle riding. This battery-powered machine is assembled to the same high standards as all Husqvarna Motorcycles, bridging the gap between balance bikes and the larger EE 3 and EE 5 models. It offers a run time of up to 100 minutes on a full charge, allowing children (height between 90 cm and 130 cm) plenty of time to develop their riding skills as they grow in both size and confidence.
Powering the EE 2 is an innovative HUB motor, fitted inside the rear wheel hub. This design eliminates the need for a chain or sprockets, enhancing safety. It delivers a maximum power output of 1.8 kW, is quiet, durable, and maintenance-free, offering a simple and uncomplicated riding experience for youngsters of all abilities. The Husqvarna BLi300 battery is easily removable, quick to recharge (80% in just 35 minutes, full charge in one hour), and lightweight, replicating the design of modern power tools for quick swaps and continued riding.
The chassis is built for strength, durability, and a balanced feel, utilising a high-quality, lightweight aluminium frame with a reinforced fiberglass subframe. The swingarm and skid plate are also constructed from high-pressure die-cast aluminium to add flex and reduce weight. WP suspension components guarantee a high level of comfort, with hydraulic front forks offering 90 mm of travel and a rear shock with preload adjustment providing 70 mm.
The EE 2 is designed with safety and adjustability in mind. A rollover sensor disengages power if the bike falls over, and riders can attach a wrist lanyard that disconnects power if their hand leaves the handlebars. Hydraulic brakes, with 140 mm discs front and rear, ensure confident stopping power, and the handlebar-mounted levers are fully adjustable for easy reach. Ergonomics are customisable; the seat height can be adjusted from 470 mm to 500 mm by repositioning the rear shock and front forks, and footpegs can be fitted at two different heights. Lightweight, maintenance-free 10-inch aluminium wheels with KENDA tyres offer excellent grip. The bodywork features subtle graphics applied with in-mold technology, mirroring Husqvarna's full-size motocross machines for a durable, quality finish.
