Now available at Lings Powersports, the all-new Triumph Tiger 1200 is engineered for riders demanding continent-crushing adventure capability, sharper road dynamics, and effortless low-speed accessibility. Combining serious long-distance touring comfort with agile road handling, it redefines what is possible on a flagship large-capacity adventure motorcycle.
At its heart is the updated 1,160 cc liquid-cooled T-Plane triple engine, now producing an exhilarating 158 PS at 9,250 rpm with stronger torque delivered lower in the rev range. Significant mechanical revisions—including a redesigned cylinder head, new pistons, lighter valves, and a freer-flowing exhaust—maximize combustion efficiency and throttle response. Revised first, second, and third gear ratios reduce crawl speed by 6 km/h for smoother low-speed maneuvering and traffic control. A refined six-speed gearbox, low-maintenance shaft drive, and Triumph Shift Assist quickshifter deliver clean, clutchless shifts across every journey.
Built on a lightweight chassis with an aluminium Tri-Link swingarm, the Tiger 1200 adopts an agile 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup with 200 mm of travel front and rear. Suspension duties are commanded by the advanced SHOWA EERA HEIGHTFLEX® semi-active system, featuring three selectable damping modes (Firm, Medium, Soft) and automatic self-levelling preload. For ultimate confidence at stops, the automatic ride height function lowers the rear by 30 mm as the bike comes to a standstill, achieving a seat height as low as 790 mm with the accessory low seat. When parking, integrated Centre Stand Assist temporarily increases preload to reduce the effort needed to deploy the stand.
Braking performance is benchmark-setting, powered by Brembo Stylema® monoblock radial calipers on twin 320 mm floating front discs and a 282 mm rear disc, actuated by a Magura HC1 radial master cylinder. This hardware is governed by an advanced six-axis IMU driving Optimised Cornering ABS, Emergency Brake Assist, and lean-sensitive Traction Control to maintain total composure during emergency maneuvers and mid-corner braking.
The cockpit introduces a state-of-the-art Bosch 7-inch HD touchscreen display featuring wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, voice assistant control (Siri and Google Gemini), and an actively cooled, waterproof fuel-tank phone compartment with 15W USB-C charging. Safety is elevated by front and rear Bosch radar enabling a comprehensive Advanced Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS) suite: Adaptive Cruise Control with Overtake Assist and Curve Speed Control, Forward Collision Warning with rear brake pedal haptic alerts, Blind Spot Assist, Group Ride Assist, and Rear Distance Warning. An adaptive LED projector headlight illuminates bends at 15- and 30-degree lean angles.
Long-haul touring comfort is prioritized with redesigned seats featuring 10 mm thicker foam, standard heated rider and pillion seats, and three-stage heated grips. Available across four dedicated models—the road-focused GT Pro and GT Explorer with cast aluminium wheels, and the off-road-ready Rally Pro and Rally Explorer with side-laced tubeless spoked wheels and Off-Road Pro mode—the Triumph Tiger 1200 provides the ideal setup with 20-litre or extended 30-litre fuel capacities and genuine luggage support.
