With the FE 250 as its foundation, the Husqvarna FE 250 Heritage model at Lings Husqvarna benefits from the same high-performance platform, now enhanced with a distinctive appearance. This enduro machine is capable of racing at the highest levels in standard form, setting itself apart from the competition.
Powering the FE 250 Heritage is a lightweight 249.9 cm³, 1-cylinder, 4-stroke engine, tipping the scales at just over 27.8 kg. This DOHC engine is engineered for class-leading performance, with all major components and shaft arrangements carefully positioned closer to the centre of gravity to reduce the effects of rotational inertia and enhance agile handling. The cylinder head features finger followers treated with a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating, and titanium intake and exhaust valves for optimal gas flow and strong, efficient power throughout its rev-range. An 81 mm bore cylinder houses a forged bridged-box-type CP piston, creating a compression ratio of 14.4:1 for maximum torque and peak power. A 42 mm Keihin throttle body ensures optimised throttle response, and an electric starter provides reliable ignition.
The bike is assembled around a beautifully crafted chromium molybdenum steel chassis, which is perfectly balanced for maximum agility. This frame features optimized wall thickness for durability and unparalleled rider feedback, with a new shock mounting design that significantly improves the anti-squat behaviour for better traction. The two-piece hybrid subframe, made from polyamide and aluminium, offers exceptional strength at a low weight.
The FE 250 Heritage is equipped with race-tested WP XACT suspension. The 48 mm closed-cartridge coil-spring forks offer 300 mm of travel with innovative internal design for consistent damping, and are easily adjustable without tools for compression and rebound. The WP XACT PDS monoshock also provides 300 mm of travel and is adjustable by hand for both high and low-speed compression and rebound. Class-leading Brembo brake systems provide excellent stopping power with a 260 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc, ensuring reliability and consistent action even in the most demanding conditions. A Brembo hydraulic clutch also delivers consistent feel. The bike rolls on D.I.D rims fitted with Michelin Enduro tyres for superior traction. Completing the build is a long list of premium components like ProTaper handlebars, and advanced electronics including a multifunctional Map Select Switch with two engine maps and optional Traction Control, ensuring a customised riding experience. The distinctive Swedish-inspired graphics and blue radiator shrouds set this Heritage model apart with a stylish and unique look.
