With already proven technical capabilities, the Husqvarna FE 250 at Lings Husqvarna benefits from the addition of Brembo brake systems for improved stopping power in 2025. Together with a new Brembo hydraulic clutch, all riders will enjoy taking full advantage of the race-tested components out on the trail. Without question, the FE 250 is capable of competing at the highest level of enduro in standard form.
Powering the FE 250 is a lightweight and compact 249.9 cm³, 1-cylinder, 4-stroke DOHC engine, weighing just over 27.8 kg.This engine is engineered for class-leading performance, with all major components and shaft arrangements carefully positioned closer to the centre of gravity to reduce the effects of rotational inertia and enhance agile handling. The DOHC cylinder head features finger followers treated with a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating, and lightweight titanium intake and exhaust valves (32.5 mm and 27.5 mm respectively) for optimal gas flow and strong, efficient power throughout its rev-range, up to its 12,800 rpm limit. An 81 mm bore cylinder houses a forged bridged-box-type CP piston, creating a compression ratio of 14.4:1 for maximum torque and peak power. A 42 mm Keihin throttle body ensures instant throttle response, and an electric starter provides reliable ignition.
The bike is assembled around a beautifully crafted chromium molybdenum steel chassis, which is perfectly balanced for maximum agility. This frame features optimized wall thickness for durability and unparalleled rider feedback, with a new shock mounting design that significantly improves the anti-squat behaviour for better traction. The two-piece hybrid subframe, made from polyamide and aluminium, offers exceptional strength at a low weight (just 1.8 kg). A new hollow die-cast aluminium swingarm further optimizes stiffness and reduces weight by 190g.
The FE 250 is equipped with race-tested WP XACT suspension. The 48 mm closed-cartridge coil-spring forks offer 300 mm of travel with innovative internal design for consistent damping, and are easily adjustable without tools for compression and rebound. The WP XACT PDS monoshock also provides 300 mm of travel and is adjustable by hand for both high and low-speed compression and rebound.Class-leading Brembo brake systems provide excellent stopping power with a 260 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc, ensuring reliability and consistent action even in the most demanding conditions. The bike rolls on D.I.D rims fitted with Michelin Enduro tyres for superior traction.Completing the build is a long list of premium components like ProTaper handlebars, an Offroad Control Unit (OCU) for reliability, a high-performance LED headlight, and a multifunctional Map Select Switch with two engine maps and optional Traction Control, ensuring a customised riding experience. The revised bodywork with new Swedish-inspired graphics ensures unrestricted rider movement and a distinctive appearance.
