When you see the 2025 KTM 450 SX-F roll off the trailer, you know it means business. With 5 AMA 450 Supercross titles in the last 7 seasons, the 2025 KTM 450 SX-F rolls up to the starting gate already armed with the learnings of past championships - only this time, it's freshly loaded with an all-new arsenal of weaponry. This motorcycle is designed, developed and produced in Austria.
At the core of this championship machine is a truly manic 4-stroke engine, weighing just 26.8 kg. This 449.9 cm³ SOHC unit is engineered to deliver incredible usable power, setting the benchmark for performance in the 450cc class. For 2025, the engine benefits from a new exhaust header with an improved joint for enhanced durability. An electric starter, powered by a robust 12.8V 2 Ah lithium-ion battery, ensures instant and reliable starts. The bike comes equipped with a map select switch, offering two distinct engine maps, plus additional electronic rider aids like Launch Control and an optional Quickshifter for lightning-fast, clutch-less upshifts.
The chassis receives significant updates for 2025, directly influenced by Factory Racing development. The central double-cradle-type 25CrMo4 steel frame features a reworked rear shock mount area and updated engine mounts with cut-outs, resulting in improved chassis flex, better cornering behavior, and a 300g weight saving. The WP XACT AER 48mm upside-down forks and WP XACT monoshock with linkage have been re-tuned for 2025, offering improved response and easy, tool-free adjustability for both high and low-speed compression, as well as rebound. Lightweight and strong black anodized D.I.D rims are fitted with race-tested Dunlop MX34 tyres, featuring new carcass and rubber compounds for improved damping, absorption, and enhanced traction. Braking is handled by powerful Brembo disc brakes, with a 260mm front and 220mm rear disc for exceptional stopping power. Ergonomically, new tank shrouds with bi-compound plastics improve radiator airflow and cooling, while a new fuel tank roll protects against scrubbing and enhances durability. An upgraded rear brake pedal adds stiffness and improved feel, completing a machine crafted for ultimate race performance and ready to dominate any starting gate.
