The 2025 KTM 250 SX-F at Lings KTM is a truly user-friendly package engineered to satisfy all riders, from novice to pro. But don't for one second think that makes it compromised – it is undisputedly READY TO RACE at any level. Delivering a power punch, and an optional electronic uppercut in reserve, the 2025 KTM 250 SX-F is ready to take on the 250 cc class and deliver a knock-out.
At the heart of this machine is a lightweight 249.9 cm³, 1-cylinder, 4-stroke engine, weighing just 24.8 kg. This DOHC engine is engineered to deliver a broad spread of usable power across the entire rev range, making it incredibly versatile. New for 2025, it features a redesigned exhaust header with a new joint for improved durability. An electric starter, powered by a robust 12.8V 2 Ah lithium-ion battery, provides instant and reliable starts. Riders can also tailor the power delivery with a map select switch, offering two distinct engine maps, plus additional electronic rider aids like Launch Control and an optional Quickshifter for lightning-fast, clutch-less upshifts.
The chassis receives significant updates for 2025. The central double-cradle-type 25CrMo4 steel frame features a reworked rear shock mount area and updated engine mounts with cut-outs, resulting in improved chassis flex, better cornering behavior, and a 300g weight saving. The WP XACT AER 48mm upside-down forks and WP XACT monoshock with linkage have been re-tuned for 2025, offering improved response and easy, tool-free adjustability for both high and low-speed compression, as well as rebound. Lightweight and strong black anodized D.I.D rims are fitted with race-tested Dunlop MX34 tyres, featuring new carcass and rubber compounds for improved damping, absorption, and enhanced traction. Braking is handled by powerful Brembo disc brakes, with a 260mm front and 220mm rear disc for exceptional stopping power. Ergonomically, new tank shrouds with bi-compound plastics improve radiator airflow and cooling, while a new fuel tank roll improves fitment and durability. An upgraded rear brake pedal adds stiffness and improved feel, completing a machine crafted for ultimate race performance.
