Built for kids and built for fun! Our awesome GasGas MC-E 2 at Lings GasGas is designed from the wheels up to suit youngsters between 90 cm and 130 cm tall, introducing them to the exciting world of riding off-road. Battery-powered means it's pretty inexpensive to run, with a full charge lasting up to 100 minutes. It's also ridiculously quick to recharge, so day-long fun in the sun is more or less uninterrupted.
At its core is a quiet and powerful 1.8 kW HUB motor, integrated into the rear wheel, eliminating the need for a chain or sprockets and enhancing safety. This motor is durable and maintenance-free, offering a simple and uncomplicated riding experience. Power is supplied by a lightweight, easily removable 12.8V, 9.4 Ah Lithium-ion battery, housed safely inside a robust die-cast case. This battery provides energy for up to 100 minutes of riding for a beginner or 25 minutes for faster riding in the highest ride mode. Charging is quick and simple with an external charger, achieving an 80% charge in just 35 minutes and a full charge in one hour. Multiple ways of adjusting the ergonomics and the power delivery allow riding skills to develop safely, which instils confidence in every young rider (and those nail-biting nervous parents). A "Control Center" located where a fuel cap would be allows parents to engage one of three pre-installed ride modes, controlling power delivery for safe, controlled progression.
The chassis is built for strength, durability, and a balanced feel, utilising a high-quality, lightweight aluminum frame with a reinforced fiberglass subframe. The swingarm and skid plate are also constructed from high-pressure die-cast aluminum to add flex and reduce weight. WP hydraulic suspension components guarantee a high level of comfort, with front forks offering 90 mm of travel and a rear shock with preload adjustment providing 70 mm. The bike features MAXXIS tires, NEKEN bars, ODI grips, and super cool black rims, all adding a little extra spice.
The MC-E 2 is designed with safety and adjustability in mind. A rollover sensor disengages power if the bike falls over, and riders can attach a wrist lanyard that disconnects power if their hand leaves the handlebars. Hydraulic brakes, with 140 mm discs front and rear, ensure confident stopping power, and the handlebar-mounted levers are fully adjustable for easy reach. Ergonomics are customisable; the seat height can be adjusted from 470 mm to 500 mm by repositioning the rear shock and front forks, and footpegs can be fitted at two different heights. Backyard laps have never been more fun, cooler, or quieter since we launched the MC-E 2. And long may the good times continue.
