Loved by little dirt shredders the world over, our awesome GasGas MC 50 at Lings GasGas certainly packs a punch! Looking just like the bigger bikes in our motocross line-up, the smallest 2-stroke we make features adjustable ergonomics that can easily be altered as children grow. Guaranteeing post-ride ear-to-ear grins, the MC 50 makes laps at the track so much fun for kids who just love to ride.
Now powered by a new 49.9 cm³, 1-cylinder, 2-stroke engine, housed inside an all-new chassis, the MC 50 is more compact and powerful for 2025. The crankshaft has been positioned closer to the center of gravity, which creates an improved intake angle for better performance in addition to centralizing mass for enhanced handling. Complete with a new cylinder head and ignition, the lighter engine produces a broader spread of usable power to benefit every rider. The exhaust system considerably boosts performance, with welding seams removed from the inside for unrestricted gas flow and maximum power delivery. The silencer now features a tighter sealing around the end cap and is complete with a black anodized finish. An automatic clutch with a reinforced basket and high-quality plates offers excellent durability and consistent performance. Starting is via a kickstarter.
The all-new frame is robot-welded using chromium molybdenum steel, enhancing the riding experience with revised geometry and flex. Mirroring GasGas's full-size motocross machines, the shock is no longer mounted directly to the upper frame tube, which reduces energy transferred through the chassis and leads to greater stability. Frame protectors with a textured surface enhance control and protect the dark blue metallic powder coating. The hybrid subframe, manufactured from polyamide glass fibre and steel, offers exceptional reliability, and can be adjusted in height for personalized ergonomics. Forged triple clamps align the 35 mm WP XACT USD forks perfectly, ensuring smooth, uncompromised performance from the WP suspension, with 200 mm of travel. The air spring in the left fork leg is easily adjustable, and the WP XACT PDS monoshock provides 190 mm of travel, with preload adjustment.
Adjustable ergonomics allow young riders to compete on the same model for extended periods, as they grow in both size and confidence. The handlebars can be mounted in four different positions, and the subframe and bodywork can be installed in two different places. The clean and sleek bodywork is scaled down from full-size machines, offering the same proven ergonomics and larger contact points for enhanced control. A flatter seat profile offers unrestricted movement. Braking performance is consistent and reliable thanks to hydraulically operated brake calipers and waved, state-of-the-art 160 mm discs front and rear. Lightweight aluminum hubs are laced to black anodized aluminum rims, fitted with MAXXIS tires for excellent traction. Boasting best-in-class build quality with performance to match, the MC 50 is a mini motocrosser designed for the next generation of berm bashers to take on full-size circuits in style.
