The best way to describe our GasGas MC 250F at Lings GasGas is that it's BIG on fun! Guaranteed to put a huge smile on your face, especially when ridden hard, this little ripper is a high-revving racer with plenty of torque down low to help cater for a huge range of riders. It doesn't matter if you're just starting out or chasing championship titles, this bike is just so good and an absolute blast to ride!
At its heart, the MC 250F is powered by a compact 249.9 cm³, 1-cylinder, 4-stroke DOHC engine. This engine is designed to be lightweight, weighing just 24.8 kg, and delivers incredibly strong and usable power throughout its rev range, all the way up to its 14,000rpm limit. Its major components and shaft arrangements are carefully positioned closer to the center of gravity, which reduces the effects of rotational inertia and enhances agile handling. Fueling is managed by a 44mm Keihin throttle body with a directly mounted throttle cable, ensuring instant response. An electric starter and lightweight Li-Ion battery ensure easy starting every time. The Keihin EMS is small, light, and fast at processing data, managing each gear's engine map, including a rollover sensor that cuts ignition during big crashes, and feeding information to the hour meter. With an optional Map Select Switch, you can activate Launch Control, Traction Control, and Quickshifter functions, along with two engine maps for customized power.
The chassis sees significant updates for 2025. It features brand new, lighter motor mounts that improve the flex characteristics of the frame without sacrificing straight-line stability. Material has been removed around the upper shock mount, and wall thickness at the front of the frame is slightly reduced, saving 300g. These revisions, tested by Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing in MXGP, make the bike much more settled through corners. The all-aluminium subframe is light, strong, and works as one with the new frame, helping to centralize mass. Forged aluminum triple clamps offer precise flex and align the fork tubes perfectly for smooth action and predictable handling.
New settings for the 48mm, split-air WP XACT forks deliver consistent damping, easily adjustable by hand on the outside with an included air pump for customized setup. The WP XACT rear shock, with 300mm of travel, soaks up big bumps with ease, with performance enhanced by new, lower friction seals and a lighter linkage bolt for 2025. Braktec calipers with GasGas specific brake disks (260mm front, 220mm rear) ensure amazing braking performance. Bigger footpegs offer a larger surface area for maximum grip and are less likely to catch in deep ruts. The unmistakable, all-red bodywork for a classic GasGas look, with new black-emblazoned graphics applied using IML technology, stays super fresh for a long time. NEKEN handlebars with lock-on ODI grips ensure a comfortable setup. A stronger one-piece air intake guarantees maximum airflow, and a beefier rubber tank support holds the fuel tank firmly in place while protecting the frame.
