At the heart of the 125 XC-W lies a 124.8 cc single-cylinder 2-stroke engine, now fed by a Keihin 39 mm throttle body via electronically controlled TBI (Throttle Body Injection). This delivers sharper throttle response, reduced fuel consumption, and smooth, consistent power delivery across the rev range. Whether threading through trees or launching into high-speed bursts, the XC-W’s powerband stays crisp and reactive.

Backing that engine is a 6-speed wide-ratio transmission paired with a durable DDS Brembo hydraulic clutch—providing a smooth, precise feel that excels in technical sections. The Vitesco EMS brain intelligently manages fuel and ignition, while a handlebar-mounted map switch lets riders toggle between engine maps on the fly.

The 125 XC-W is built on KTM’s latest generation enduro frame—a lightweight, high-strength chrome-molybdenum steel chassis paired with an aluminium-reinforced subframe. Mass centralisation and rigidity have been optimised to improve rider feedback and line accuracy, even in rutted or rocky sections.

Suspension duties are handled by 48 mm WP XACT closed-cartridge forks up front and a WP XACT PDS shock at the rear—both offering up to 300 mm of travel and fully adjustable damping. This configuration ensures confidence-inspiring traction and bump absorption, regardless of the terrain.

It rolls on proven 21" front and 18" rear aluminium spoked wheels, fitted with aggressive enduro tyres. Brembo brakes—260 mm front and 220 mm rear—deliver sharp, fade-free stopping power, giving riders full braking confidence even on steep or slippery downhills.
