Perhaps the most iconic trial bike in the GasGas lineup, the TXT Racing 250 at Lings GasGas is well known for its perfect mix of usable 2-stroke power and nimble handling. It is easy-to-use, incredibly versatile, and leads the way in tough, technical terrain thanks to its strong, controllable torque curve. The TXT Racing 250 always delivers day-long fun.
Powering this machine is a 247.7 cc, 1-cylinder, 2-stroke engine with a 72.5 mm bore and 60 mm stroke. Designed to be light, compact, and offer the best power delivery for riders of all abilities, this liquid-cooled engine can rev up to 10,500 rpm. It features a professionally engineered cylinder and piston with specifically designed intake and exhaust ports to make the motor best in its class. A high-performance forged piston guarantees maximum performance and durability. A Kickstarter ensures reliable ignition, and a 6-speed transmission with a BRAKTEC hydraulic diaphragm clutch provides precise control. A HIDRIA ECU manages the engine, with a handlebar-mounted map switch allowing for a choice of two ignition curves for tailored power depending on riding style and weather conditions.
The chassis is built for strength and optimal flex. The 25CrMo4 chrome-moly steel central-tube frame weighs just 6kg, crafted with laser cutting and robot welding for exceptional durability and rider feedback. Lateral hangers made of forged aluminium connect the steering head zone with a large skid plate that protects the engine, lower frame rails, and linkage. Smooth and progressive TECH 39mm low-friction front forks offer 160mm of travel, with preload, compression (end stroke adjuster), and rebound adjustments for a personalized setting. At the rear, a TECH hydraulic damper with linkage provides 174mm of travel and is 2-way adjustable (preload and rebound). The slim, lightweight, and super-strong swingarm is cast from a single piece of aluminium, designed with optimal stiffness and flex to soak up the biggest rear wheel hits.
For complete control, trial-specific BRAKTEC hydraulic brakes are fitted. Up front, a monoblock 4-piston BRAKTEC caliper bites a 185mm floating waved disc, while at the rear, a 2-piston BRAKTEC caliper works with a 150mm solid waved disc (FIM compliant) for next-level stopping power. The bike rolls on strong and reliable wheels with CNC machined hubs and cool, black anodized aluminium MORAD rims. Ergonomic bodywork, made from super flexible polypropylene, allows riders to get into all kinds of shapes for cleaning the gnarliest sections and will return to its normal shape even if bent more than 180 degrees. Strong, lightweight, and tapered NEKEN handlebars are fitted with RENTHAL grips for comfort and control.
