The GasGas TXT Racing 125 at Lings GasGas is, without question, the best trial bike for beginners and youngsters to hone their skills on. But make no mistake, our smallest and lightest 2-stroke model is super modern and a whole lot of fun to ride! Delivering controllable, revvy power, the 125cc motor has a smooth yet strong torque curve, ideal for helping riders find grip while tackling any obstacle.
At its heart is a compact, light, and powerful 124.8 cc, 1-cylinder, 2-stroke engine. This motor is by far the most competitive and rideable in its class, with engineers constantly developing this little 125cc engine. It delivers its power in a way that suits all skill levels. The cylinder features specifically designed intake and exhaust ports which, when used with a forged piston, deliver impressive torque and a smooth power delivery across the full rev range. A low weight aluminum cylinder bracket helps reduce engine vibrations. The HIDRIA ECU manages the engine, with a handlebar-mounted map switch allowing for a choice of two ignition curves for tailored power. A kickstarter ensures quick and easy starting. The clever 4/6 system transmission allows riders to select from 6 gears when there are only 4 on the internal shaft, saving weight and allowing for super compact crankcases.
The chassis is designed to be strong with just the right amount of flex. The 25CrMo4 chrome-moly steel central-tube frame weighs just 6kg, crafted with laser cutting and robot welding for exceptional durability and rider feedback. Lateral hangers made of forged aluminium connect the steering head zone with a large skid plate, protecting the engine, lower frame rails, and linkage. Smooth and progressive TECH 39mm low-friction front forks offer 160mm of travel, playing a vital role in making the bike super agile. On top of the left fork leg, you can set up the preload, while at the bottom, an end stroke adjuster fine-tunes compression. At the rear, a TECH hydraulic damper with linkage provides 174mm of travel and is 2-way adjustable.
Braktec hydraulic clutch and brakes provide excellent control and reliability. Up front, a monoblock 4-piston Braktec caliper bites a 185mm floating waved disc, while at the rear, a 2-piston Braktec caliper works with a 150mm solid waved disc (FIM compliant). Strong and lightweight wheels with CNC machined hubs and black anodized MORAD aluminium rims are fitted with Michelin Trial X11 tires for maximum traction. The slim, smooth, and ergonomic bodywork, made from super flexible polypropylene, allows for unrestricted movement and returns to shape even if bent more than 180 degrees. Tapered NEKEN handlebars with RENTHAL grips provide a super stable front end and confident feel.
