The KTM 990 DUKE has a reputation. The all-new chromium-molybdenum steel trellis frame, utilizing the engine as a stressed member, balances agility and rigidity, creating a responsive and precise ride. The new die-cast aluminum swingarm is lighter and less rigid for improved traction. Upside-down WP Apex suspension, with a 43mm inverted fork adjustable for compression and rebound, and a WP Apex monoshock at the rear adjustable for preload and rebound, ensures confident handling and tuned comfort across varied terrain.
Braking duties are handled by dual 300 mm discs up front with KTM-branded four-piston radial calipers (ByBre), while a 240 mm disc at the rear provides balanced stopping power. Cornering ABS with a Supermoto mode and switchable traction control enhance safety and rider control without dampening performance.
With a claimed wet weight of around 179 kg (395 lb), a seat height near 825 mm, and an agile wheelbase of 1476 mm, the 990 Duke remains both accessible and thrilling across rider levels.
Tech features include a new full-color 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, redesigned menus, gear indicator, ride-mode switch, and shift light.
