By combining exceptional versatility, performance, and minimalistic styling, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 at Lings Husqvarna ensures you own the road. Beneath the dark tones of its scrambler-inspired aesthetics, a compact and powerful parallel-twin engine gets you where you need to be. A twist of the wrist always delivers exceptional torque to the rear wheel, providing a strong and flexible power delivery from low down.
The Svartpilen 801 is powered by a 799 cc parallel-twin engine, producing 77 kW (105 hp) of peak power and 87 Nm of torque. This liquid-cooled, DOHC engine is designed for lively throttle response and a linear power delivery, making it both well-mannered for urban pottering and eager when you want to scream it to its limiter. It features two oil pumps for forced oil lubrication, ensuring durability. The 6-speed transmission is designed for precise shifting, and a PASC (Power Assist Slipper Clutch) helps maintain stability during aggressive downshifts.
The beautifully crafted and perfectly balanced chassis is enhanced by refined ergonomics that create an engaging and intuitive riding experience through both city streets and out onto the open road. The frame is a chrome-molybdenum steel tubular front section that uses the engine as a stressed member, paired with a cast aluminum subframe that also acts as the tail section. Adjustable WP APEX suspension ensures every rider can create a personalized and comfortable setting. The 43 mm inverted front fork offers 140 mm of travel with easily adjustable compression and rebound damping, while the linkage-free rear monoshock provides 150 mm of travel with preload and rebound adjustment.
Stopping power is assured by J.Juan brakes, with dual 300 mm discs and radially mounted 4-piston calipers at the front, and a 240 mm disc with a 2-piston floating caliper at the rear. Bosch Cornering ABS provides optimal safety, with a Supermoto ABS mode that allows for rear wheel lock-up. The Svartpilen 801 is equipped with an extensive selection of state-of-the-art electronic aids, adding multiple levels of customisation. Standard features include Easy Shift (quickshifter) for seamless up and down shifts, and multiple ride modes (Street, Sport, Rain), which preset parameters for Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC) and ABS. An optional Dynamic mode offers manual control over 10 levels of MTC, 5 levels of anti-wheelie control, and Motor Slip Regulation (MSR) for balanced engine braking. A 5-inch TFT dashboard with smartphone connectivity (via the Ride Husqvarna Motorcycles app) provides intuitive menu navigation, phone and music control, and turn-by-turn navigation. The bike rolls on cast aluminum wheels fitted with Pirelli MT 60 RS dual-purpose tyres.
