Now available at Lings Powersports, the KTM SX‑E 5 blends electric innovation with true motocross DNA. It’s a trail-ready, zero-emission bike perfect for younger or noise-sensitive riders seeking full-throttle fun.
At its heart is a water-cooled permanent magnet electric motor delivering a peak 5 kW at around 3,900 rpm and a torque punch of 13.8 Nm. With no clutch or gears, this instant acceleration teaches throttle control while replicating the feel of full-size motocross machines.
Energy is supplied by a lightweight lithium-ion PowerPack storing 907 Wh, delivering up to two hours of gentle riding—or around 30 minutes of intense race-paced action. Charging is fast and convenient, with a 0–80% charge in 45 minutes and full charge in about 70 minutes.
The bike’s compact chassis features a high-strength chromoly frame with adjustable subframe and fork positions—allowing the bike to “grow” with the rider. A WP XACT air fork with 35 mm tubes and 205 mm of travel pairs with a WP XACT rear shock (193 mm travel) for superb off-road control and comfort.
Weighing just ~40.5 kg (dry) and with a seat height of 665–682 mm, the SX‑E 5 is agile and approachable. It rolls on durable black-anodized 12″ front and 10″ rear alloy wheels fitted with MAXXIS tubed tires, offering traction and resilience across challenging terrain.
Safety is built-in with hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, a rollover sensor, ride-mode locking for parent control, and a wrist-lanyard kill switch. A compact instrument panel displays battery level, ride mode, and bike data.
