KTM SX-E 2.12

Charged up and ready for the next step, the 2027 KTM SX-E 2.12 expands the KTM electric mini line-up with a larger platform for taller young riders. Based on the proven KTM SX-E 2, it features a 12-inch front wheel, adapted chassis geometry, and proportionally updated ergonomics to provide growing riders with more room to develop their skills and confidence. Designed for young riders who have outgrown the standard KTM SX-E 2, the KTM SX-E 2.12 delivers the same fun, easy-to-ride electric performance in a package built to grow alongside them.

Now available at Lings Powersports, the KTM SX-E 2.12 delivers all the raw excitement and skill development of motocross with zero tailpipe emissions and whisper-quiet operation. Ideal for taller younger riders and beginners, it brings all-new possibilities to the track—regardless of time or venue.

At its core is a lightweight, maintenance-free 1.8 kW HUB Motor which delivers a maximum of 50 Nm. Starting almost instantly without gears or chains, it delivers intuitive, smooth response perfect for learning throttle control and sharpening riding technique. A quick-change lithium-ion battery pack provides practical plug-and-play charging and can be easily swapped for extended riding time. An external 500 W charger takes the battery from 0 to 80% in approximately 35 minutes.

The chassis blends precision and rugged durability. Built around an extruded aluminum center-tube frame, it supports a suspension setup with a 30 mm WP conventional hydraulic fork offering 90 mm of travel, matched to a preload-adjustable rear WP monoshock with 70 mm of travel. This combination delivers confident handling and control for bigger, harder bumps.

Braking is handled by powerful radial, hydraulic 140 mm disc brakes front and rear, offering confident stopping without fading. With adjustable hand levers to fit smaller hands and no transmission or clutch, maintenance is dramatically simplified—no chain tension, no gear adjustments—perfect for parents and kid riders focused on progression.

Electric controls feature three distinct riding modes, adjusting top speed to 7 km/h, 20 km/h, or 33 km/h to continually support rider development. A roll-over sensor cuts power in the event of a crash or tip-over, and a wrist lanyard key provides a direct connection to the kill switch, maximizing safety during early practice sessions.

Aggressively styled bodywork offers clear motocross race identity, with modern, striking graphics applied using an in-mold process for off-road durability. A larger 12-inch front wheel paired with a 10-inch rear wheel, lightweight black powder-coated aluminum HPDC rims, and KENDA Trakmaster dirt tires deliver a balanced and confidence-inspiring setup across a wide variety of riding conditions.

With a total bike weight of 27 kg and a two-level adjustable seat height of 536 mm and 566 mm, the SX-E 2.12 remains approachable yet highly capable. It creates a natural riding position while allowing growing riders to master motocross fundamentals like corner speed and precision lines.
