Sliding at the apex to join the KTM SuperMotard army in the middle-weight battalion, the KTM 690 SMC R brings unlimited fun to the masses. Just like its KTM 390 SMC R brethren, it is engineered to dominate the asphalt - as well as the odd dirt track - with ease.

Now available at Lings Powersports, the KTM 690 SMC-R reigns supreme as a track-bred yet street-legal supermoto, delivering electrifying performance, razor-sharp handling, and KTM’s bold design in a lightweight, agile package.

Driven by a potent 692.7 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC LC4 engine, the 690 SMC-R generates approximately 74 PS and 73.5 Nm of torque. A ride-by-wire system and crisp six-speed transmission with a PASC slipper clutch and Quickshifter+ ensure responsive throttle control and seamless shifts, whether slicing through corners or unleashing bursts of speed.

A precision-engineered chromoly tubular space frame and flat-track inspired geometry deliver razor-sharp agility. WP APEX suspension sets the tone: fully adjustable 48 mm inverted forks offering 215 mm of travel at the front, and an APEX monoshock with Pro-Lever linkage at the rear—both tuned for aggressive cornering and track stability.

Stopping performance is excellent, thanks to a beefy 320 mm front disc with a Brembo four-piston radial fixed caliper and a 240 mm rear disc with a Brembo single-piston floating caliper. Bosch 9.1 MP Cornering ABS offers adjustable traction and braking control, including a Supermoto mode that disables rear ABS for sliding fun.

With a dry weight of just 147 kg and a seat height of around 892 mm, the 690 SMC-R is purpose-built for riders who crave precision, lightness, and high-revving fun. Its geometry encourages quick turn-ins and playful handling characteristics.
