Driven by a potent 692.7 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC LC4 engine, the 690 SMC-R generates approximately 74 PS and 73.5 Nm of torque. A ride-by-wire system and crisp six-speed transmission with a PASC slipper clutch and Quickshifter+ ensure responsive throttle control and seamless shifts, whether slicing through corners or unleashing bursts of speed.
A precision-engineered chromoly tubular space frame and flat-track inspired geometry deliver razor-sharp agility. WP APEX suspension sets the tone: fully adjustable 48 mm inverted forks offering 215 mm of travel at the front, and an APEX monoshock with Pro-Lever linkage at the rear—both tuned for aggressive cornering and track stability.
Stopping performance is excellent, thanks to a beefy 320 mm front disc with a Brembo four-piston radial fixed caliper and a 240 mm rear disc with a Brembo single-piston floating caliper. Bosch 9.1 MP Cornering ABS offers adjustable traction and braking control, including a Supermoto mode that disables rear ABS for sliding fun.
