The 2025 KTM 450 SMR represents the only real all-aspect form of motorcycle sport. Taking all the best bits from the championship-winning KTM 450 SX-F and adding more asphalt bias like racing slicks, big brakes, and top-notch suspension. Simply put, it's READY TO RACE in the very purest form.
Now available at Lings Powersports, the KTM 450 SMR is the ultimate track-focused supermoto, engineered for serious riders who demand race-grade performance in a street-legal package.
Powering the SMR is a potent 450 cc SOHC single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering over 63 HP, propelled through a precision six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The lightweight powerplant, weighing just 26.8 kg, offers explosive throttle response, blistering acceleration, and razor-sharp power delivery suited for track domination.
Chassis-wise, the SMR uses a factory-race-derived frame with purpose-tuned geometry for high-speed control and flickability. The suspension features ultra-high-spec WP XACT components: 48 mm closed-cartridge front forks with hand-adjustable compression and rebound, and a rear XACT monoshock with preload and dual compression adjustments. This setup provides 11.2" of travel up front and 10.5" at the rear, delivering precision and compliance in equal measure.
Handling is further enhanced by lightweight Alpina spoked wheels (16.5" front, 17" rear) wrapped in performance supermoto tyres, and a low center of gravity that ensures sharp turn-in and powerful exit grip.
Braking performance matches race specification: a 310 mm front wave rotor gripped by a four-piston Brembo radial-mount caliper, backed by a 220 mm rear disc—all managed with cornering ABS and a selectable rear-only mode for sliding control.
Advanced rider aids include launch control, two selectable engine maps (Linear and Aggressive), and traction control, allowing riders to tailor performance to style and surface.
Ergonomically, the SMR features track-oriented ergonomics with an 898 mm seat height, clean cockpit, and stripped-down bodywork designed for functional lightness and rider movement.
