Significant technical updates for 2025 ensure the Husqvarna FS 450 easily maintains its position as the leading purpose-built Supermoto machine on the market. This modern machine is designed to deliver an unrivalled riding experience for supermoto enthusiasts.
Powering the FS 450 is a versatile SOHC engine, which is tilted 2° backwards, positioning the engine in the perfect centre of gravity to vastly benefit manoeuvrability. It weighs just 27.8 kg and is specifically designed for supermoto competition, creating a broad spread of controllable power. This power can then be customised by engaging various electronic rider aids, including Launch Control, Traction Control, and a choice of two engine maps. The precise engagement of the 5-speed Pankl Racing Systems gearbox ensures smooth shifts, while the Suter anti-hopping clutch prevents rear wheel chatter under hard braking. The electric starter provides reliable and instant starting.
A revised frame for 2025 combines with new engine mounts to deliver a calculated level of chassis flex, improving handling with high-speed stability assured. The central double-cradle-type chrome molybdenum steel frame is hydro-formed and robot-welded for exceptional precision and quality. For the first time, WP XACT 48 mm forks are fitted to this competition-focused motorcycle, boosting comfort and agility. These forks offer 280 mm of travel and are combined with a WP XACT rear shock, providing 266 mm of travel and exceptional damping characteristics. Both front and rear suspension are fully adjustable for precise setup.
The FS 450's commitment to performance is evident in its braking system. A premium Brembo radial master cylinder and caliper combine with a 310 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc, ensuring superior stopping power. New footrests, linkage seals, and a redesigned air intake further enhance the riding experience for 2025. The ergonomic bodywork, with updated radiator shrouds and a revised swingarm, offers freedom of movement and a distinctly Husqvarna Supermoto appearance. Lightweight and strong 16.5-inch (front) and 17-inch (rear) tubeless Alpina spoked wheels are fitted with Bridgestone Battlax slick tyres, offering maximum grip for track conditions.
