We're super excited about our new GasGas MC 300 at Lings GasGas! As a big-bore 2-stroke, it's big on fun but it's also dreamy to ride. Those who like to short shift and get up through the 5-speed gearbox will be rewarded with a riding experience like nothing else. As modern as it gets, the MC 300 is fully loaded with the best in dirt bike tech.
At its core is an all-new 293.2 cc, 1-cylinder, 2-stroke engine, designed to deliver impressive torque and power throughout its rev range. This engine brings a new weapon into the MX Open category, providing maximum power at the least possible weight (just 23.9 kg). It features Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) via a Keihin throttle body and an electronic power valve, ensuring smooth, usable power across the entire rev range without the need for fiddly jetting. An electric starter, powered by a robust 12.8V 2 Ah lithium-ion battery, provides instant and reliable starts. Riders can also choose between two engine maps via a map select switch: Map 1 for a linear, predictable power, and Map 2 for a crisp, explosive output. An electronic exhaust control system manages the opening of the lateral exhaust ports for optimal power delivery.
The chassis is designed to deliver stability and razor-sharp handling. The central double-cradle-type 25CrMo4 steel frame has been reworked around the rear shock mount and includes new engine mounts with cut-outs, resulting in improved chassis flex, better cornering behavior, and a 300g weight saving. The frame is also optimized for better anti-squat behavior. The all-aluminium subframe is light, strong, and works as one with the new frame, helping to centralize mass. Forged aluminum triple clamps offer precise flex and align the fork tubes perfectly for smooth action and predictable handling.
WP XACT suspension components ensure consistent damping and exceptional comfort. The 48mm, split-air WP XACT forks and WP XACT rear shock with linkage have been re-tuned for 2025, offering improved response and easy, tool-free adjustability for both high and low-speed compression, as well as rebound. Braktec calipers with GasGas specific brake disks (260mm front, 220mm rear) ensure amazing braking performance, allowing riders to stay on the gas longer and brake later into corners. The bike rolls on lightweight and robust black anodized D.I.D rims fitted with new Dunlop GEOMAX MX34 Motocross tyres for exceptional traction. All-red bodywork from front to back, with new black-emblazoned graphics applied using IML technology, gives it a classic GasGas look that stays super fresh for a long time. NEKEN handlebars with lock-on ODI grips ensure a comfortable setup. A stronger one-piece air intake guarantees maximum airflow, and a beefier rubber tank support holds the fuel tank firmly in place while protecting the frame. Looks pretty good, doesn't it?
