For 2025, we're super excited about the return of our GasGas EC 125 at Lings GasGas! We've brought it back so that youngsters and beginners can get their feet wet (and muddy!) in the world of enduro. We've cut no corners in assembling what may well be the best 125cc enduro bike out there. Simple to set up, ride, and maintain, the EC 125 makes a welcome return and is guaranteed to put a smile on the face of anyone who chooses to swing a leg over it.
Using our awesome MC 125 as its foundation, which everyone knows is an absolute little ripper of a dirt bike, the EC 125 is fully loaded with enduro-specific components so that riders can experience the thrill of making a small-bore 2-stroke sing! At its heart is a powerful 124.8 cc, 1-cylinder, 2-stroke engine, weighing just 22.8 kg. This engine sets the standard for performance in its class, delivering more torque while retaining its high-revving 2-stroke character. Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) via a 39 mm Keihin throttle body ensures optimal air/fuel ratio at all times, providing smooth, usable power across the entire rev range without the need for manual jetting. An electric starter ensures reliable ignition, while a 6-speed Pankl gearbox provides precise and durable shifts. A lightweight crankshaft improves throttle response and minimizes vibration, and its precise positioning ensures rotational mass has very little effect on the overall handling.
The chassis receives multiple technical upgrades for 2025. The central double-cradle-type 25CrMo4 steel frame features a reworked rear shock mount area and updated engine mounts with cut-outs, resulting in improved chassis flex, better cornering behavior, and a 300g weight saving. The frame is also optimized for better anti-squat behavior. The all-aluminium subframe is light, strong, and works as one with the new frame, helping to centralize mass. Forged aluminum triple clamps offer precise flex and align the fork tubes perfectly for smooth action and predictable handling.
WP XPLOR open cartridge forks offer 300 mm of travel and are easily adjustable by hand for compression and rebound. The WP XACT monoshock with linkage also provides 300 mm of travel, with performance taken up a notch for 2025 thanks to new, lower friction seals in the linkage and a smaller diameter linkage bolt, saving a little weight. Braktec calipers with GasGas specific brake disks (260mm front, 220mm rear) ensure amazing braking performance. MAXXIS tires provide excellent grip. The unmistakable, all-red bodywork for a classic GasGas look, with new black-emblazoned graphics applied using IML technology, stays super fresh for a long time. NEKEN handlebars with lock-on ODI grips ensure a comfortable setup. An LED headlight and LED tail light ensure excellent visibility. A super slim, transparent polythene fuel tank allows you to see the fuel level.
