Derived directly from the MXGP-proven Desmo450 MX, this competition-only machine delivers unmatched high-rpm power, razor-sharp agility, and exceptional braking control for track riders and racers chasing the top step of the podium.
At the heart of the Desmo450 SM is a competition-tuned 449.6 cc single-cylinder engine featuring Ducati's signature Desmodromic valve train, pushing out 63.5 hp with a blistering 11,900 rpm rev limit. Paired with a dedicated 5-speed gearbox, an upshift quickshifter, and a factory-fitted Suter slipper clutch, it delivers explosive acceleration and seamless corner entry control.
The aluminium perimeter frame is meticulously engineered for rapid direction changes and benchmark stability. Paired with supermoto-specific factory-grade Showa 49 mm Kashima-coated front forks (280 mm travel) and a fully adjustable Showa rear monoshock, the chassis delivers unflinching composure, pinpoint cornering precision, and exceptional braking support to combat extreme front-end dive.
