The CFMOTO 700CL-X Sport at Lings CFMOTO is a dashing and energetic derivative of the CL-X line-up. Its café-racer aesthetic style gets a new interpretation with outstanding performance and sophisticated styling, making it a truly unique and engaging ride.
At its core, the 700CL-X Sport is powered by an advanced 693cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, inline twin-cylinder engine. This potent engine delivers 55 kW (73.7 hp) at 8,500 rpm and 67 Nm (49.4 ft-lb) of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine features an optimized intake and exhaust system for a broader, more linear power output. Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) ensures precise fuel delivery, quick starts, and excellent fuel efficiency. The 6-speed transmission is paired with an FCC slipper clutch, which not only provides smoother downshifts and reduces rear-wheel hop but also offers a lighter lever pull, reducing rider fatigue during spirited riding.
The chassis is designed for dynamic handling and a responsive ride. It features a lightweight and robust chrome-molybdenum alloy steel frame, providing optimal rigidity and flex characteristics. Suspension duties are handled by premium KYB components: a 41mm inverted front fork is fully adjustable for preload, compression, and rebound, offering 150mm of travel, while a single rear shock with preload and rebound adjustability also provides 150mm of travel. This setup ensures a confident and controlled ride over various road conditions, allowing the rider to fine-tune the handling to their preference.
Braking performance is exceptional, handled by a Brembo braking system with cornering ABS. Up front, dual 300mm discs with radially mounted Brembo Stylema calipers provide powerful and progressive stopping force, while a 260mm single disc with a Brembo caliper is fitted at the rear. The bike rolls on lightweight 17-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels, fitted with high-performance Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres (120/70-R17 front, 180/55-R17 rear) for superior grip and feedback.
The 700CL-X Sport boasts sophisticated styling with its modern café-racer aesthetic. Notable design elements include a prominent carbon fibre front fender and integrated fairing, clip-on handlebars for an aggressive riding posture, and bar-end mirrors that enhance its sporty profile. All-LED lighting, including a distinctive "X" motif in the headlight and taillight, ensures excellent visibility and adds to its premium feel. A round 5-inch LCD display provides clear instrumentation and offers Bluetooth connectivity, allowing riders to access features like call alerts and navigation (via the CFMOTO Ride App). Electronic rider aids include two ride modes (Sport and Economy) and cruise control for enhanced convenience and safety.
