At its core, the 300CL-X is powered by a high-performance 292.4 cc, 1-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled DOHC engine. This compact and efficient engine delivers a strong 20.5 kW (27.5 hp) at 8,750 rpm and 25 Nm (18.4 ft-lb) of peak torque at 7,000 rpm, ensuring lively acceleration and smooth power delivery ideal for navigating city streets or enjoying spirited rides on winding roads. Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) ensures precise fuel delivery, quick starts, and excellent fuel efficiency while meeting the latest emission standards. The 6-speed transmission is paired with a CF-SC slipper clutch, which not only provides smoother downshifts and reduces rear-wheel hop but also offers a lighter lever pull, enhancing rider comfort and control.

The chassis is designed for agile handling and a comfortable ride. It features a lightweight and robust steel trellis frame, providing optimal rigidity and flex characteristics for responsive steering and stability. Suspension duties are handled by premium components: a 37mm inverted front fork provides 150mm of travel, offering a plush yet controlled ride, while a single rear shock with preload adjustability also provides 150mm of travel, ensuring comfort over varying road surfaces.

Braking performance is confident and precise, thanks to hydraulic disc brakes with Continental dual-channel ABS. A 300mm front disc with a 2-piston caliper and a 240mm single disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear provide strong and reliable stopping power in all conditions. The bike rolls on lightweight 17-inch multi-spoke aluminium alloy wheels, fitted with CST radial tyres (110/70 R17 front, 140/60 R17 rear) that contribute to effortless handling and grip.

The 300CL-X boasts distinctive modern-retro styling.
