KTM’s reputation for dominating the Supermoto scene continues with the arrival of the 2026 KTM 450 SMR — a machine built to chase chequered flags, smash lap records, and make every ride a test of skill and speed. For the new model year, KTM hasn’t just refined their race-winning formula — they’ve elevated it.
Born to Win
The 450 SMR carries KTM’s unmistakable racing DNA. At its heart lies a lightweight, torque-rich SOHC 450cc engine, delivering instant power and precise throttle response. This is paired with an agile, perfectly balanced chassis that offers razor-sharp handling and exceptional control on the track.
With WP XACT suspension, Brembo brakes, CNC-machined components, ALPINA wheels, and Metzeler tyres, every component of the 450 SMR is engineered for performance. The result? A motorcycle that feels planted, predictable, and explosively fast — lap after lap.
Engineered for 2026
For 2026, KTM has introduced a number of focused updates that enhance both compliance and competitiveness. A new EFI system, airbox inserts, and silencer tweaks ensure the bike meets the latest FIM noise regulations (109 dB) without sacrificing its ferocious output. The 450 SMR remains the most potent player off the line — it’s just a little quieter about it.
Maintenance has been made quicker and more efficient thanks to an upgraded radiator housing and closure system, while a new insulating cap for the CPC fuelling connector offers better protection against knocks, debris, and dirt — keeping performance consistent even in demanding conditions.
Smart Racing with KTMConnect
The 2026 KTM 450 SMR also steps confidently into the digital age. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the optional Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO), riders can connect via the KTMConnect app to fine-tune engine management, suspension settings, and track performance through GPS data and smartphone control. It’s precision engineering — now with precision insight.
A Bold New Look
Performance might be everything on track, but style matters too. The 2026 KTM 450 SMR debuts a striking new look with fresh in-mold graphics, a retro splash of purple, and KTM’s signature orange and black finish across the frame and wheels. It’s modern, aggressive, and unmistakably KTM.
Available November 2025
The 2026 KTM 450 SMR is more than just an update — it’s a statement. Lighter, quieter, smarter, and every bit as fast as you’d expect from KTM’s premier Supermoto machine.
